Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ready Ledger ("the App"), a mobile application provided by Ready Ledger LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Ready Ledger is suitable for users of all ages. The App does not collect personal data externally, does not facilitate financial transactions, and does not display any user-generated or third-party content. Users under 18 years of age should have their parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App. For more details on how we handle data for users of all ages, see our Privacy Policy.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may NOT:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App
• Copy, distribute, rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or transfer the App to any third party
• Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security features or measures of the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations

ALL DATA ENTERED INTO THE APP IS MANUALLY INPUTTED BY YOU, THE USER.

4.1 User-Entered Data

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy, completeness, and quality of all data you enter into the App
• Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in your data
• Reviewing and verifying all information you input
• Maintaining backup copies of your important data

We do not verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy of any data you enter. ANY MISTAKES, ERRORS, OR INACCURACIES IN YOUR DATA FALL SOLELY ON YOU AS THE USER. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete data entry.

4.2 Data Storage and Backup

While the App provides optional iCloud sync functionality, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your data. We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or deletion that may occur. We strongly recommend enabling iCloud sync — if your device is lost, stolen, or damaged and no backup exists, all data will be permanently lost. 4.3 OCR and Receipt Scanning

The App includes optical character recognition (OCR) technology for scanning receipts and extracting financial data. You acknowledge and agree that:

• OCR technology is not 100% accurate and may produce errors
• You must verify all scanned and extracted data for accuracy
• Automated expense categorization may be incorrect
• We provide no warranty on the accuracy of scanned or extracted information
• You are solely responsible for manually verifying all financial data extracted from receipts
• Receipt scanning is not suitable for tax preparation or financial reporting without your independent verification

4.4 Appropriate Use

You agree to use the App responsibly and not to:

• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Use the App to harm, threaten, or harass any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App

5.1 Camera and Photo Access

Camera access is used solely for receipt and document scanning. You acknowledge:

• Images are not permanently stored after processing unless you choose to save them
• Camera access is optional and not required for core app functionality

5.2 Location Services

Location data is used only for tagging entries with location information (if enabled). You acknowledge:

• You can disable location services at any time via iOS settings

5.3 Speech Recognition and Voice Input

Voice data is processed on-device only using Apple's Speech framework. You acknowledge:

• Voice recordings are not stored or transmitted by us
• Speech-to-text conversion happens locally on your device
• You control microphone access via iOS settings
• Voice data may be processed by Apple subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

5.4 Biometric Authentication

Biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID) never leaves your device and is stored securely in the iOS Secure Enclave only. You acknowledge:

5.5 Calendar, Contacts, and Third-Party Integrations

The App may integrate with Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and other iOS features. You acknowledge:

• Data imported from these sources is not verified by us
• You are responsible for the accuracy of all integrated data
• Integration requires your explicit iOS permission and can be revoked anytime

5.6 Siri and Shortcuts Integration

Siri requests may be processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. You acknowledge:

• You can disable Siri access via iOS settings

5.7 Widgets, Live Activities, and Lock Screen Display

⚠️ IMPORTANT SECURITY WARNING

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE:

• Anyone with physical access to your device can see this information, even if your device is locked
• You are solely responsible for enabling these features and understanding the privacy implications
• We strongly recommend enabling device lock screen security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) if using widgets
• Disable widgets and Live Activities if you share your device or are concerned about lock screen privacy
• We are not responsible for unauthorized viewing of data displayed on widgets or Live Activities

The App is free to download and includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial period, free tier limits apply. Ready Ledger Pro removes all limits and offers the following plans:

Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings. No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of a subscription. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Free Tier Limits (after trial)

Existing data is never deleted if a user exceeds limits (e.g., after trial expiry or downgrade). Users simply cannot add new records until they subscribe or are back under the limit.

To use Ready Ledger as intended, notifications should be enabled. Notifications are used for:

• Bill due date reminders
• Interview and follow-up alerts
• Scheduled task notifications
• Payment due date reminders
• Contract ending alerts

You may skip the notification permission step during onboarding, but certain features will have limited functionality without notification access. Notification permissions can be managed at any time in Settings > Notifications.

We do not send marketing or promotional notifications. All notifications are directly related to your tracked financial obligations, career activities, and tasks.

The App allows you to export your data in PDF and CSV formats.

IMPORTANT: PDF and CSV exports generated by the App are NOT encrypted.

You acknowledge:

• Exported files may contain sensitive personal, financial, and career information
• You are responsible for securing exported files and controlling who has access to them
• Do not share exports via unsecured email or messaging unless you understand the risks
• Delete exported files after use if they contain sensitive data
• We are not responsible for unauthorized access to exported files once they leave the App

⚠️ CRITICAL DISCLAIMER

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE:

• We are not tax advisors, accountants, or financial professionals
• The App is a personal tracking tool only
• You must consult a qualified tax professional or accountant for all tax-related decisions
• You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
• We are not liable for any tax penalties, fines, audits, or issues arising from your use of the App
• Do not rely on the App as your sole financial record-keeping system for tax purposes

The App, including all content, features, functionality, software code, user interface, design, graphics, and all intellectual property rights therein, is owned by Ready Ledger LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Your data is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, synced via your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, access, or transmit your personal data to our servers. No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used. All data remains private and under your control. Ready Ledger is suitable for users of all ages. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data externally, does not facilitate financial transactions, and does not display any user-generated or third-party content. All data remains entirely on the user's device (or in their personal iCloud account if enabled), making it a safe environment for younger users to practice financial literacy, goal setting, and personal organization.

If you participate in beta testing or use pre-release versions of the App, you acknowledge that:

• Beta versions may contain bugs, errors, and incomplete features
• Data loss, corruption, or unexpected behavior is possible
• Beta software is provided 'AS IS' with no warranties of any kind
• Features in beta versions may change significantly or be removed before public release
• We strongly recommend regular backups if you use beta versions

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. The App does not provide financial, legal, career, medical, or any other professional advice. You should consult with appropriate professionals for advice specific to your situation.

We do not guarantee that use of the App will result in any specific outcomes, including improved career prospects, financial management, or personal productivity.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the App
• Any errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in data you enter
• Any errors in OCR scanning or data extraction
• Any tax penalties, fines, audits, or financial losses
• Any privacy breaches resulting from widget or lock screen display of information
• Any data loss, corruption, or deletion
• Any unauthorized access to your device or data
• Any interruption or cessation of the App's availability
• Any decisions you make based on data tracked in the App

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

We strive to make the App accessible to users with disabilities, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with all assistive technologies or accessibility features. Accessibility features are provided on a best-effort basis. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please contact us.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ready Ledger LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Any data you enter into the App
• Any decisions you make based on information in the App

The App integrates with various Apple services (iCloud, StoreKit, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Siri, Shortcuts). Your use of these Apple services is subject to Apple's own terms and conditions and privacy policies, which are separate from these Terms. We are not responsible for the functionality, availability, or practices of any third-party services.

We may periodically release updates to improve functionality, add features, fix bugs, or enhance security. You are encouraged to keep the App updated to the latest version. We may discontinue or modify features at any time without prior notice.

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through your Apple ID account settings to avoid future charges.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lorain County, Ohio.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 60 days.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES' INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

The App is available through the Apple App Store. You acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Ready Ledger LLC, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
• Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App
• You must comply with the App Store Terms of Service
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
• Severability: If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to reflect the parties' intention, and the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver.
• Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms; we may assign our rights without restriction.
